Sant Dhyaneshwar Palki holds great significance here in maharashtra.Its an event not less in magnitude than the kumbh mela i am sure.The people who follow the palkhi for months at a stretch are known as' warkaris'. their faith is tested by bare foot travel for long hours over difficult and at times dangerous terrain all over the state.One would even find lots of people coming form all over the country to participate in this event.
