Sunnybank Park Clean Up

My employer decided that we should do some "community service" - I guess the phrase doesn't have the same meaning in the USA as it does in Scotland ! We struggled for something suitable to do then I read about Sunnybank Park and everyone thought this was a good venture to help so we contacted them and arranged to go and do some work at the park.

Suz & Andy from Sunnybank gave us a list of tasks to do and 12 of us spent today in the park and cut grass, trimmed hedges, collected litter and removed a heap of benches that were damaged beyond repair. In this shot, a pile of scrap wood is about to be loaded onto the trailer.

The park is looking better than it did this morning and I think that we managed to make a lot of progress. Its amazing what 14 folk and a heap of power tools can do in just one day!
