On the Way

Generations

I see the man on the right almost every day while he rides his bicycle.
He got his driving license in the army in 1955 so when he wanted to get a car his dad told him that in Yemen every man had a donkey, but nowadays every donkey has a car!

I met him today at our humus place and he was sitting with his son (L) and a friend. He told me his son is a doctor and so is his grandson. I wanted to take a pic of them together but he didnt want to disturb his son while he was talking. I love to see this huge gap between generations; here's the stylish doc and his simple hard working dad that feels so proud that this is his offspring.
