Cutgrass Mountain

Don't know what the weather was doing when we were away but the grass certainly enjoyed it. This was at half-time of the grass cutting today.

I pile the grass at different places through-out the garden through-out the summer as come any hard frosts during the winter the birds will peck away at it and find insects and seeds. Blackbirds / Redwings / Fieldfare's like it the best but last winter was hash enough that a snipe was grateful.
