Bowling Along

An early start to beat the ferry out the harbour and little wind for an hour or two. But, once again it turned into a nice stiff force 4 and we fairly blew along. No tacks needed either - and we blew right up the Clyde just on the 'gennie', with tide and wind. Right to Bowling Basin and through the sea lock. Unfortunately the wind was so high that we couldn't get the mast down using the waterways staff and crane - that would have to be the following day, and then the canal would have to be the day after that. And Mr H had to go! So, away he went, leaving me to saunter to the Bay Inn to watch England vs Hungary on Al-Jazeera sports channel and sup a couple of beers.
The photo - yet another lighthouse - Cloch Point this time, just before Greenock.
