Adonis Blue male

Yet another butterfly picture to break the internet with! I was trying to capture the display wings of the Adonis Blue, but they wouldn't sit still long enough - just this chap who disobligingly put his wings up to show his underside.

I almost posted my lovely picture of a Peacock butterfly sitting on a thistlehead, but there are so many out there, I don't think the world needs any more. I wonder why it is that some butterflies will sit nicely for ages while you snap away, and others are complete fliberty gibberts?
