Introducing Oscar and Cosmo

A wee while back we lost one of our old cats. She wasn't very well and the vet had to put her to sleep. We had two cats, the mother Lubie was the one that had to be put to sleep and the other one is called Scout. They were mother and daughter, although only six months between them I believe. Scout is now about 17 so she is an old lady too.

When we told the children about Lubie our daughter was very upset and immediately wanted to get a friend for Scout. I explained it doesn't always work that way and that Scout was very old and might not like a new companion. So we decided to leave it for a while.

Scout has been very sad without Lubie. Her meow is such a sad meow...a real sore one.

I've hummed and hawed about this for a few weeks now and decided to take the plunge and get not one but two new companions for her...and here they are.

Introducing Oscar (the big one) and Cosmo (the little one)...though I don't expect you see the size difference in this photograph, Oscar is at the front Cosmo is at the back. They are brothers and about 14 weeks old. We collected them this morning and brought them home.

Oscar has been about most of the day he is more confident...Cosmo has made the odd guest appearance. Scout hissed at them when she met them:-/ Oh well we'll just have to see how it all pans out...
