A bit of this and that

This is a small flower bed along the driveway that contains a climbing rose, some clematis, who had their day earlier this summer, and the tall grasses that are now dwarfing everything. I like to keep them all winter to have something to look at besides snow, and then trim them back in spring.

Topping the trellis are old electrical insulators that have been found here and there over the years.

Last fall while out in Iowa, Roy came across this piece of wood still holding a couple of insulators. Naturally, it came home with him and we moved the insulators from a beam inside the house to the finished project you see here :)

I thought the morning light was quite nice as well.
