Empty House

Did you hear the story about the empty house? There was nothing in it.

That joke shamelessly stolen (and changed) from Frazer in Dad's Army.

I was on Hoy but conditions were poor. Heavily overcast, muggy and with no wind, conditions were perfect for swarms of midges. They were on me like packs of starved, winged tigers whenever I stopped.

I had to head back to the waiting room at the pier just to get away from the wee hellions.
