Gallon Drunk at the Lexington

Got tickets to see this band, originally meant to go with an art director friend but she was detained with work so ended up going on my lonesome...with my camera (which always feels like some kind of company).

The place was full of Rockabillies - big, 6ft 4" ones...with 2 inches extra for the quiff. The girls worse BIG tattoos - Amy Winehouse style. It was quite a scene in a great venue. Upstairs, the warm up band finished up and 20 minutes later Gallon Drunk came on to unleash their punk and Blues Rock mash up sound. Bashing drums, thumping bass and a wild front man. This is a picture of the bassist who looks like works for the Kray twins. Well worth making the trip to Islington.
