Skull

We bought a small set of drawers some time ago because we liked them. Quite by the way they were full of bits and pieces: fossils, gem stones, bones - things like that.

I have looked at them now and again (we haven't used the drawers for anything else) but not too closely. So, scouring the house for anything that I could photograph, I delved deeper and found that both parts of this skull were present.

Assembling the skull and lighting it I was struck by its symmetry and its beauty.

It seems rat-like to me but comparing it with examples on the net I am not quite convinced. Any suggestions?
