Gracia, again...

It's always interesting watching the Catalans go about their daily business with a certain penny-watching stoicism and then, on an instant, turn into fun loving, playful party creatures! Having a plaza, fiesta, vino y musica on hand helps! The Spanish word to describe this state is alegria; 'happiness' is the closest you'll get in English, but it doesn't come close to conveying the meaning of that moment when all social distinctions disappear, someone starts a rhythm and before you know it everyone is clapping, singing and dancing! And, yes, tomorrow can wait!

Padded all the way to Gracia (40 minutes) with the big camera bag on my shoulder only to find it battery-less when I tried to switch it on, at least my Coolpix was charged and the date correctly set!
