First fish ever!!!

I'm a teacher. I work in a school that specialises in helping teenagers with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs. It's the best job I've ever had. 90% of the time it is fantastic. The other 10% isn't worth me even trying to explain. But, it is a whole mixed bag of emotions for kids and the staff alike.
Tonight after school a couple us took some kids to a local harbour for a spot of fishing. This guy was nervous as he had never done it before, there were tons of local kids there and you could tell he was under stress. We ran with it. Got the sandwiches out, made tea, went through all the risks and safety stuff and made the point this was meant to be a break from the norm and fun.
Well this young gent, after the first "one that got away" moment, had complete and total engagement and focus for nigh on 2 hours until he landed this monster.
This chap finds concentrating, in class, lunch etc extremely difficult for any more than 20mins at a time.
Two things struck me tonight.
1. He can do it! A great reference point for me in class.
2. I don't know who was more pleased. Me or him?
