Breakfast remnants

I enjoy the colours in this image, initially they make me think of the still life by Irving Penn entitled 'After-dinner Games' New York 1947. (Check it out at the link below). On study of Penn's beautiful image the colours are not similar at all, perhaps it was the random, messy, yet cleverly structured and composed nature of his image that alerted my memory as I arranged the used items on my plate? My image is disposable, while Penn's is a classic, however, I love the fact one can find still-life compositions anywhere at anytime, akin to music, a tune can be written anywhere.
