Life with Gaia

By happyyoga

It is late, and I just quickly snapped this, to keep my blip-toe in the water a bit, when Patches, Daniel and I were out for our evening walk. It just feels so good to have my computer functioning again now...yes!

Ah...I missed it a lot. Thanks, Ed, for letting me use yours even when you sometimes wanted to use it. Still, it is not the same as having your own knockaround, familiar puter.

Insurance turned down our claim (surprise surprise) and Ed sure doesn't have the time to mess with it, but when he says the contract truly isn't worded the way they are claiming, I know he is right. I've seen him practice long enough to know he knows what he is talking about. We'll formally state our case to them and those who govern in these issues, just to get the complaint at least expressed in hopes they may eventually not do this to anyone. Thankfully, our damage is small enough, and with the help of Michele and David and friends, we are going to be able to solve this one without the insurance company, but there is no reason this should go unnoticed.

Here is a nice business for someone who wants to make some money. Insure people for mold, but tell them (though it is not in the written contract) that it must be discovered within 14 days from its initial causation or it is not covered. Nevermind that your leak, will take a lot longer than 14 days to form any mold, so if it is a hidden one, you are simply out of luck. Even if you knew about it, it would not be mold yet before 14 days anyway. Sheesh...

Anyway, I am just thrilled to be almost out of the moldy situation, and actually feeling the start of health coming on. It has been so many years of living in the stuff that this new health is a most welcome revival. Anyway, never underestimate the power of mold. For sure.
