Still Calm

A quick peek from the Kaiserslautern train station up to the Fritz-Walter-Stadion (formerly Betzenberg-Stadion or Betze), football stadium and home of the 1. FC Kaiserslautern and the "Roten Teufel" (Red Devils).
In the 2006 FIFA World Cup five games were played here (Australia!).

After 4 years the "Betze" made it back to the national league (Bundesliga).
Last week they won against the 1. FC Köln (Cologne) in Köln the first away game in the new season.
Today's the first home game and the Red Devils will be playing against the FC Bayern München (Munich), national league champion 2010 (for the 22nd time).

It will be one hell of a game with the Red Devils - full house expectet (49 780 people).
On matchdays Kaiserslautern is all red and white, hours and hours before the match beginns. Same today.

5:15 pm 21,8° C

10:20 pm: Lautern won 2:1
I know who's dreaming of a 2011 championship
:-)))
