Passing the time

I took my cousin's wife to a hospital appointment today. As it was for an hour, I took a book with me to read whilst I waited for her.

The book was loaned to me by her 9 year old grandson, who read it when he was about 7. I bought him some others in the series one Christmas, so I suppose he was returning the favour when he suggested I might like to read it!

I am ashamed to say I have had the book for about 18 months so I am now making a real effort to finish reading it. I read the first few pages a few times just to get used to the style and more so to the strange names given to the characters.

It is proving to be a really good read.
