I have a itch

Today was a cool, sunny morning and went down to one of my favorite places, Sachuest saltmarsh, which is part of the Sachuest national wildlife refuge in Middletown, Rhode Island. The main bird that I photograph today was this great egret. Watch and photograph them for over an hour, it was mainly preening himself and then decided to scratch its neck. Must have had a real itchy spot.
