the path of love is never smooth

These are my 12 year old's all time favourite soft toys.

The bear (aptly named Teddy) was a gift to her before she was born and has been loved to near ruin...

the internal music box no longer works
the mouth has unstitched
the nose is hanging by a thread
the lace collar is paper thing and stretches to go around the bear's neck twice
the back of the head is worn smooth
the little outfit is sewn up in many places and is awaiting attention to repair the latest rip

The doll (also originally named as Baby Doll) was a gift at 6 months and has also seen better days...

only one eye opens and shuts
the pink outfit (the original) is a shade of grey (the hat is baby pink as it has just been put back on after about 10 years!)
the little hands and feet were enthusiastically chewed when she was a toddler and one foot is just a hole instead

It always makes me smile to see them propped up together on her bed wearing their 'love injuries'!
