Pretty Little Flower

I didn't know what this flower was called but my daughter looked it up and it's called the Fortnight Lily. I just thought it was a very pretty flower!

Today has been another lovely day, warm sunshine but with a slightly cool breeze, not bad for the last days of winter!

You can tell spring is just around the corner, with baby ducklings all over the place, and lots of other baby birds. My favourite is the plover their babies look like pom-poms on legs. The trees here don't really lose their leaves except for the frangipani and a few others, but even the trees that have leaves have lots of bright green new growth. So everything is looking glorious with lots of beautiful flowers out as well.

Today has been the last day of a long weekend (public holiday) so their have been lots of families out and about taking advantage of the nice weather. Nice to see so many happy people about. Still it'll be back to reality tomorrow.
