The Pensioner

So, summer is waning; a definite chill in the air today. And where better to wear a scarf than my beloved Tynecastle? My first visit to my seat this season, so a chance to see if the old chap behind me is still here (he is) and whether the loudmouth a few seats along has renewed (he has). The world is still recognisably the same. And so are the frailties. Well on top for 60 minutes and with a lovely goal to show for it, the tide turns against us; the midfield gets over-run. In the end a one all draw is lucky.
A downer, but briefly - soon rescued by a couple beers and a chat about the rest of the world. And outside the windows of the pub the sunlight was golden and the trees above the graveyard wall shook in the wind. Summer breeze. And sailing tomorrow!
