Celebration

My wife and I spent the day in a gym at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo watching our 19 year-old daughter play in her first collegiate volleyball match/tournament. Volleyball has been a huge part of our lives for the past twenty or so years, so it was great to be back in the gym - especially watching our daughter. I took some good action photos, but really liked the emotion shown in this shot. College athletes are much more demonstrative than what I became accustomed to in 20 years of high school coaching. Every point was celebrated like the team had just won the olympics. I think this shot was the culmination of a hard fought win, but it could have just as easily been a routine kill.
