street lamp no 2

Took this early before the Sunday traffic started and before The Sunday Morning Phone Call with Mother. Spent most of the day in the beanbags, but just as I was trying to think what to have for my tea, friends rang up and said let's go out to eat! So had a spontaneous curry, and then over coffee at mine, introduced them to The Toy Dolls' version of Nelly the Elephant. They had been staying the weekend with pals who had a daughter just hitting teenage, and the subject of how to embarrass such teenagers. My effort had been to do this punk version of Nelly in the street, explaining 'but you used to love it when I sang it to you while you were in your pushchair .....' ;-]
