White Shutters

Reflection....

Today was probably the last day of summer for us....back to school for the girls this week.

We very very rarely get out as a family anymore (other than precious holiday weeks), the children are all teens, I have to work Saturdays and my OH plays golf Sundays so the alarm goes off every day of the week.... so bank holiday weekends we do get a day free. OH said he was playing golf both days, thank goodness today's golf didn't happen, and we drove over to the Gower and had a superb day on Oxwych beach and afterwards a lovely pizza at Smugglers Cove in Port Eynon.

We managed to get in the car park at the far end of Oxwych Bay, the crowds were all within 200m of the car park, why? Walk 500m down the beach and you have sunshine and space, fantastic. Some people only paddled, but I had a fantastic long swim this morning and afternoon, I could have swum for miles, and miles, just blanking everything.

Traffic was horrendous but by staying late the journey home was fine. A very long way for the day, but if felt like a mini holiday, one day we will get a weekend's camping like most people.

Gorgeous weather on a Bank Holiday Monday...
