It Started Down Under

Tent Seethrough

Today we packed our gears in Schoonloo, Drenthe and traveled on to our second and final destination of this vacation: Bergen in Noord-Holland.

To get there, we drove over the afsluitdijk, one of the biggest watercontrol projects of the Netherlands and perhaps of the world! It was quite impressive and cool at the same time.

We arrived in Bergen halfway the afternoon. In stormy weather we built up our tent. We succeeded and before the evening we were installed at the new camping site. This camping was a bit less luxury than the previous one. Just 2-3 dirty toilets (without toilet paper) for over 50 people to use, and 2 showers for the same amount of people. Many small children to wake us up early and enough parents to keep us awake until late.

After dinner we drove back into the little town Bergen. There we looked around, did some quick shopping and had a look at the Ruin-church.
