A scripture lesson

At the last count there where 7 religious sects in Leicester. The main ones being Christianity, Muslim and Hindu.
A lesser know one is Jainism. It`s an ancient Indian religion which is older than Christianity by a few thousand years.Their beliefs are that the way to liberation and bliss is to live a life of harmlessness and renunciation. They live by the 5 great vows which include not lying, not stealing and celibacy!!
This building on Oxford Road in the city is the Jain Temple. It was originally a Congregational Church built in 1865 by the Victorians. In the 1980`s it was converted to the Temple.
Whilst the structure of the building is the original chapel, the facade is white marble imported from India, richly carved with symbols of their beliefs.
