a Monday

don't remember when was the first time I had pills...but this time, I was left with no choice.

...woke up with a heavy head...mild fever as well...but there are things to be done, promises to keep - can't really skip office today. Everyone voted against me riding the bike(motor) to work today and advised using public transport instead. It would mean changing auto thrice and probably a 45-50 min journey to work. slight drizzling in the morning - just the thing that you dont want when you already have a mild fever. I took the umbrella and started walking towards the main road. Just as we stepped out of the neighbourhood, a car stopped. the unknown gentleman on the passenger seat asked if we need a ride to the main road. I said, we're actually trying to get to the Allwyn junction. "no problem...come on in." "thanks". He asked where we work and then offered to drop us further ahead to the auto-stand. "if it is okay with you, will be a great help for us. thank you very much"

he had his windows of his ac car rolled down...nice songs from the old times on his car stereo - the ones that I usually like. on and off, he was even humming along. he probably wanted to sing out loud but probably got conscious of the couple at the back...he was looking around, laughing and smiling at other riders on the road, as his driver slowly and gently maneuvered the car through the traffic and potholes...not for once he complained about the traffic or the road condition...he seemed happy...it all made up for a pleasant setting and for a moment, I forgot about my fever and cold.

...about 30 mins later, in office, it was business as usual. Mondays!
