This is one of two sculpted faces in Meuse Lane, Edinburgh from 1925. The faces are on a link which connects two buildings (originally R W Forsyth's Department Store).

I have seen these faces a number of times and always thought that they would make an interesting photo. It reminds me of something from a gothic Tim Burton film...
