Random college object #2

Devoid of inspiration again today so I started looking for random objects to photo and this one came out ok. It took me ages to figure out what it was and even now I only have a vague hypothesis. Bonus points if you can guess what it is. The only clue I'll give is that from another angle it looks like a spine and it is flixible like a spine.

Anyway it's the weekend at last. Hope everyone has a good one.

Actually another clue for this object is that this is definetely the normal view you'd get of it so that means I can submit an assignment blip for the first time in about three weeks. Yay!
