summer in the lakes

My first summer here, I asked about the middle of August - "when does summer start around here?" The reply - it has been and it was a pretty good one at that!"

You would think that I would have my head around it by now but no, every year I live in hope that it will be sunny - all summer long!

I shall not complain though as this week camping was in sunshine and also rain - as this blip overlooking Ullswater proved!
