The gull and the fish head

This fella greeted us when we alighted from the ferry at St Margaret's Hope on South Ronaldsay. He proceded to grab the fish head and toss it around for a bit. I don't think this is a traditional Orcadian welcome.

We motored up from the ferry and found our cottage on the mainland in no time at all. We were amazed by the view from the cottage looking over the Bay of Ireland to Hoy - glorious. My photos of it today didn't do it justice so I plumped for the gull instead. The cottage view is here. Who needs telly when you can look at this?
