My image for the day

Norwest sky

As many of you will have read, the devastation of the earthquake in Christchurch is now becoming very apparent. Today and tomorrow norwest gales are predicted which will add another danger to already unstable buildings. This norwest sky over the city has been present all day but so far the winds haven't been too bad. The many aftershocks have continued of course although I do think they are becoming fewer in number and not as severe. However I still jump!
Many of these aftershocks have been more like what we would have experienced as an earthquake in the past rated around 3 to 5 on the Richter scale.

Today we took a walk in our area and there appear to be no problems.
I took this photo from where we live - no one would have any idea of what really is going on in the city and surrounds looking at this image
