Swingball!

I played a lot of this when growing up - we must have got through umpteen different types. We usually managed to smash the plastic rackets after a few weeks/months. Then sometimes we'd switch to tennis rackets, which made the game ever so slightly lethal. You had to have a good eye to keep with that game, and it usually ended up with the destruction of the apparatus.

Also it was one of those you stuck in the ground, and after a few games, the hole in the ground which we struggled to get made, got wider and the pole would swing around on its own - the end was near then.
