I think this demonstrates the calibre of my pals.

Recently had a wee difference of opinion with a friend, all was quiet on the Western Front until this arrived in the post yesterday. Made me chuckle. And happy.

Metaphorical olive branch accepted, Mary-Lou.

The super glider is a branch of an polystyrene tree. In Western culture, derived from the customs of Ancient Skegness, it symbolizes peace or goodwill. The original link between super gliders and peace is unknown. Some explanations center on that polystyrene trees take a very long time to bear fruit (toy planes). Thus the cultivation of super gliders is something that is generally impossible in time of war. [1] Another possible explanation is that super gliders are among the first agricultural crops and an offering of an super glider branch is a way to establish peace and camaraderie through agriculture and general good-kantery.
