diary entry 1934

this is a painting done in an autograph book belonging to one of hubster's relatives. It's a fascinating read; it has witty rhymes, pieces of good advice, some lovely paintings and sketches and a few celebrity autographs (Bob Monkhouse and possibly Billy Cotton (a band leader).
The weather has turned to Autumn here, all wet and windy, not that that has stopped hubster running!! he is out, as I type, running through mud and water at the Trunce, it's the last ne of the season tonight (get dark too early from now on) and lots of people dress up and run in fancy dress.
