Geneva St Pierre Cathedral

Again perhaps pushing my luck with the definition, here is a night shot of St Pierre Cathedral in Geneva.

This is a medieval cathedral built over Roman remains, but its real significance is that this was John Calvin's church. A spiritual and physical bastion of the Reformation. Calvin was based in Geneva from 1536 to 1564 and was the spiritual leader of the City, which was a major centre of protestant thought and print.
