Tarantula

SHUNNED and IGNORED!

Nobody wants to eat this wooly carcass of a Tarantula. He has been lying on our front patio for three days and no birds or other scavengers have taken him home. Rigor Mortis has set in and his legs are all folded underneath.

Interesting to note about tarantulas..they come out in the evening and hunt by speed. They do not weave a web, but run down insects and other prey. They rarely bite humans and if so it is not fatal to healthy people.

It really isn't fair to pick on a dead spider, but I have had a busy day. Cataract was removed from my right eye and new toric lens implanted. Things are a little blurry today. Thank God for Canon's autofocus.
