So many Pubs and Too many B & Bloody Qs

There are a lot of pubs in Pompey. They are proper pubs as well, the ones you can't see in and so don't know what awaits you inside until you get in them.

I used to go to lots of pubs. Now I dont go to many, actually I don't go to any.
This is the pub I get the nearest to nowadays but only because I walk past it on the nursery run, and it is never open then.

Anyway back to reality, had a long day today. I foolishly took toddler to B&Q for light fittings and some other bits. We had a plan so it should have been straight forward but it is never that simple is it.

It turns out that when you decide what you need in B&Q they do not actually have even if their stock system says they do. So there we were watching the assistant go up and down on that lift vehicle looking for light bulbs, which was clearly too exciting for toddler as she made the bank smell again.

So after the assistant came down to say sorry we dont have those bulbs, which probably are no good anyway, we went off in search of changing facilities. The facilities were ok but as usual shared with the disabled toilets which is fine except the heating was kicking out something chronic. So after a hot smelly change we went back out to look at switches whilst we formed a new bulb plan.

After about another 30mins of searching they did not have what we wanted again so we had to decide on something else. Toddler was now getting tired and now, one and a half hours since entering the store I was getting hungry and aggitated. Tempers got particularly frayed after a disagreement about the shopping basket we had to ditch the bulb plan leave under a cloud.

So we paid for all the rubbish that we had in the disagreement basket that didn't actually want and stormed out of the store. On the way home toddler told me to shush so I did, all the way home, whilst she fell asleep.

Lesson learned - only ever go to B&Q on your own and even then only if you really really need to!
