initially promising

It looks like Endura might have redeemed themselves with their ¾ Zyme after carelessly redesigning their Humvee short a few years ago and making the non-¾-length version unwearable in the process and making the ¾ version far from ideal, though tolerable in the absence of anything else even remotely suitable. Although there was only one XXL copy on the bike shop sale rack it seemed promising enough to risk the potential return postage cost of samples in more likely sizes from somewhere which had normal sizes in stock.

They still fall foul of the waist-fastening-sense rules, only have three sensible pockets out of six and still don't seem to be matching the leg-generosity to the waist-size but have otherwise created something sufficiently impressively comfortable for me to be about to return the speculative Medium for a second Large pair for when the first Large pair run out in case they piss about with the design at some point over the next few years. Whilst the waist has a couple of circumference-adjusting bits on it they're not quite enough to get the waist of the large down to a useful tightness, requiring the addition of a scavenged belt which will have to be replaced with something with a shallower buckle at some point.

They might be a little bit too heavy for the hottest summer days but should be distinctly cosy during the winter; the articulation around the knee also ensures the knee is always covered which might hopefully stop my sister lecturing me about damaging my knees by exposing them to the open air throughout the year even though I wear leg-warming things over them in the winter, and whilst her advice deserves some attention seeing as she has just become the world champion female aged 35-39 aquathlonete and is about to marry a personal trainer the reason she's doing aquathlons instead of triathlons is that she knackered her back cycling, something I have always been careful to avoid,
