Back End Fishing

A day fishing on the River Teith near Callander.

Fishing at this time of year can be frustrating - coldness, leaky end-of-season waders, rain, leaves in the river catching on your fly every cast, darkness cutting the day too short... but the trees are fantastic and the peace was, as usual, very calming.

It went from grey to very grey and even my little camera was struggling to find enough light, but there were salmon in that river and, when there are salmon in the river, nothing else matters.

- Dave fishing at the end of our beat. His bum doesn't sag that much, he just has enough room in his waders for some expansion.
