a bit scary...

Mia has wanted to let a helium filled balloon fly high in the sky for sometime now. So, today, we took an anniversary balloon that has been floating around our house and we took it outside and let it go. She asked where it would go. She asked how high it would go. She asked how far it would go.

Obviously, I was full of a bunch of "I don't know's" but we came up with a few maybes. Maybe it would get stuck in a tree. Maybe it would fly right by an airplane. And maybe just maybe, it would drop down and land on someone's head. Boy, she was laughing hard about that one!

Here she is, moments after letting it go. She was so afraid to do so that we each held onto the string and let go together. It was priceless!
