Compost Mentis

Lemme in!

If she could have things her way, Mia would spend all day and all night sleeping, dreaming doggie dreams and leaving her sunny spot near the front door only for meals and walkies. She's so lazy she doesn't even bother to bark when Jehovah's Witnesses knock on the door wanting a chat. So much for this supposedly dangerous pit bull.

When it's dry outdoors, I put her out in the garden where I think all dogs belong. Dogs ought to be enjoying the sunshine and fresh air, right? And while she's at it, I wish she'd shoo away some of the birds that are decimating our crop of autumn fruit and pooping all over the terrace. We let her out after 11 this morning, a civilised time by anyone's standards. She promptly showed her appreciation for being ejected from her nice warm bed by eating a toad she found in one of the flower beds.

Silly girl.

Thank you so much for your lovely compliments on T's chair. He was very touched to read them.
