Money is the root of all happiness

J9 is feeling a bit better now so was lovely when she popped into Manchester on the tram this evening.

We went along to a preview night of some paintings by a chap she knows, David Gledhill. I really like his style, its mostly large oil paintings of quite mundane, everyday scenes, quite a few taken from old photographs he comes across.

The Arty types were out and J9 caught up with a few people she hasnt seen for a while, she also enjoyed some free vino whilst i dutifully stayed on the orange juice and drove us home. Now off to make up for it with some Highland Park :)
