Do Ho Suh

Brilliant. The Biennial properly started tonight. Galleries and exhibition spaces were open late; people were out and everyone was having a good time. So cool. Radio 4's Front Row did a great piece about it last night. Worth a listen. Really.

This is Korean artist Do Ho Suh's piece. Its called "Bridging Home". One can see why. It refers to the fact that many houses in Korea are built very close to each other. People don't have a problem invading each other's personal space in Korea, both metaphorically and literally. So to squeeze this piece in between 2 buildings is a pretty obvious statement. But to have done it next to one of the Visible Virals from 2 years ago is inspired.

We saw lots and lots of great stuff tonight. And we didn't even get down to the Tate or the CUC. Lots more to come.
