Kathmandu

"There's a one-eyed yellow idol to the north of Kathmandu,
There's a little marble cross below the town;
There's a broken-hearted woman tends the grave of Mad Carew,
And the Yellow God forever gazes down..."

J. Milton Hayes

I think all of the 'typical' elements of the Kathmandu skyline are here...the water tanks on the roof, the mobile phone towers, the partially completed top storey of the building opposite, the ubiquitous crows perched on the scaffolding, the Buddhist flags on top of the buildings, the washing, the densely packed buildings in the distance, the Nepali man looking over his balcony in the foreground, and of course...the mountains.
