Fresh Snow

It has been mostly sunny today, and the sunshine has real warmth. However, the wind from the mountains is very chilly. Snow has been falling up there since last night. I took this shot this morning when the clouds lifted briefly. The foothill in the foreground has received a sprinkling. Castle Hill Peak (upper left) is lost in the swirling snow clouds, but The Gap shows up well behind the south flank of the Rubicon Peak. The forecast is for a storm from the subantarctic region, and snow to low levels.

Good in large.
