running towards nothing

A very wet Founder's Day

Traditionally on the Sunday nearest to Lord Leverhulme's birthday there are various events in Port Sunlight. Today we had our second hand book sale, a tea tent and a display of over 130 vintage cars. It rained nearly all day but we had quite a good turnout and made £192 from the book sale. I was asked to judge "Best in Show" in the vintage cars and was very tempted by these two immaculate TVRs but eventually went for a beautiful slivery-blue 1955 Bentley - it was raining so hard by the time I got to it I couldn't take a photograph of it. Back home now, more or less cleaned up, and waiting for my tomato and ginger curry to finish cooking.
