Aztec dance

The local elementary school was having a celebration of Mexican Independence from Spain.
I found it curious that Mexican Independence was celebrate in the USA when the independence of Canada or the independence of countries of Central American, South America, Africa, Asia, Middle East or Europe are not celebrated. This celebration had some nice dance performance of the Mexican Aztec peoples. It would be nice to honor the peoples of other nations and view their native dances.
