Gifts of Grace

Snuggle

So many lovely raindrops, impossible to choose on a mild, still, grey autumn day. Blip, and the lure of a billion raindrops, gave me a happy half hour away from the computer, where I've spent another equally happy (and productive) eight hours today.

You know that thing where cut flowers have gone over but you still have mixed feelings about throwing them out? These ones rotted from the stems up, though the blooms were almost intact. I threw them on the compost heap and, after I'd tired of raindrops, liked how they seemed to snuggle up to the granite. They'll be sodden tomorrow after more heavy rain and, most likely, raindrops will abound, again.
