hip-hip...

i know i've done rose hips before but this one just happened to grab my attention... i was drawn to it.... it had such character, hanging there by itself. you can see some remants of the thorne, too. now it seems the strength is so redirected and its purpose is different.

what i don't understand is that this hip is on a white rose bush so why then is it not white? why is it this burnt-orange color instead? one of those mysteries of life that i continue to ponder...
